Shane Ozment joined Newmark Knight Frank in September 2002 and specializes in the marketing and sale of multifamily properties in the metro Denver market.  He is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including valuation, client/prospect contact, contract negotiations and closings. Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Shane was employed as a stock broker with Morgan Keegan, Inc., and as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Ozment has over 15 year’s experience in securities and investment sales. He received his Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Colorado and his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of the Ozarks.

Terrance Hunt, vice chairmen for Newmark Knight Frank, joined the company in 2004 as a principal and has consistently been one of Denver’s top producing multifamily brokers, handling over $7 billion in multifamily transactions. Transacting the largest multifamily property in Colorado history, The Breakers Resort at $350 million, and The Horizons at Rock Creek at $255 million, are among his many accomplishments.

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Hunt worked for Grubb & Ellis where he specialized in the sale of multifamily properties. During his tenure there, he became the top producing apartment advisor and broker at Grubb & Ellis nationwide. Mr. Hunt has extensive experience in all types of multifamily and income properties, having been involved with them the majority of his life.

In 2015, Mr. Hunt was the Top Multifamily Broker of the year in Colorado, a designation awarded by NAIOP DMCAR and the DENVER Business Journal. He was also one of top-producing brokers at Newmark Knight Frank. Mr. Hunt has been recognized for his creative deal structuring, having had two of his transactions listed as “The Most Creative Deals of 2009” by Apartment Finance Today Magazine. Mr. Hunt speaks regularly on multifamily and real estate investments and has spoken at the AAMD Economic Conference, CU Economic Conference, Colorado Real Estate Journal Conference, Biz Now Conference and the Downtown Denver Partnership Conference. He has also spoken on these topics to the State Legislature. Mr. Hunt has been featured in numerous local and national publications including the Denver Post, Denver Business Journal, Western Real Estate, MSN, NPR, CPR, ABC 7NEWS, NBC and 9NEWS.

Mr. Hunt earned a degree in finance and real estate from Colorado State University.

Executive Managing Director Chris Cowan joined Newmark Knight Frank’s National Land Services Team in 2003, where he focuses on urban infill development and suburban land sales for all multifamily and mixed-use product types. Mr. Cowan has been involved in the sale of land for the development of over 27,000 units with a total consideration in excess of $580 million. He is widely seen as a leader in his market with an unprecedented amount of knowledge relating to land brokerage and multihousing development.

In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Cowan was awarded the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties’ Top Land Broker distinction. Jessica Graham is the director of transaction management for Newmark Knight Frank’s Denver operation where she is responsible for executing marketing strategies and client communication, managing the transaction process, maintaining the land database and construction reports and overseeing market research, due diligence and land valuations. With 14 years of multihousing and land experience, Ms. Graham supports both the land and institutional teams, who boast 150 years of combined experience and have handled over $13 billion in transactions. During her tenure at Newmark Knight Frank, Ms. Graham has worked in several local and national roles, including director of operations for Colorado, Arizona and Utah. She was instrumental in the 2014 sale of ARA Denver, and has been intimately involved in strategic business planning, market forecasting and the marketing and disposition of over 600 multihousing and land transactions.

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Ms. Crowder served as an assistant vice president at Redwood Capital Group, a multihousing sponsor firm based in Chicago, IL; her responsibilities included sourcing, underwriting, and analyzing all potential acquisition opportunities in various markets across the country, including Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs. During her tenure at Redwood, Ms. Crowder was involved in nearly $1 billion of multihousing transactions. Before Redwood, Ms. Crowder worked as a senior financial analyst on the acquisitions team at LaSalle Investment Management where she was involved in the underwriting of more than $5 billion in assets and the closing of over $550 million in assets across all property types.
