Gail Neuburg - Vice Chairman

Portland, OR

Gail Neuburg is a vice chairman for Newmark Knight Frank and is recognized as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most active brokers. With more than 25 years specializing in multifamily brokerage, here real estate experience ranging from development, financial analysis, and market assessment to sales and marketing, Ms. Neuburg has executed more than 150 multihousing transactions throughout her career and over the past eight years, has worked with top institutional clients to broker more than $1.9 billion in multifamily apartment sales in the Pacific Northwest. She has been awarded CoStar’s Top Sales Broker Award every year since 2011.

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank in 2010, Gail was the top producer in the Portland, OR based firm of Tilbury, Ferguson & Neuburg, an investment advisory firm that specializes in representing apartment property owners in Pacific Northwest markets including Oregon and Washington.

Before beginning her career in real estate, Ms. Neuburg was the director of marketing and sales for a $5 billion multi-company utility and was a principal in an international electronics market research firm with clients such as Intel and Apple. She has both a BA in public administration and a masters in education from the University of Oregon. Her professional and civic affiliations include the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Commercial Broker’s Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Portland as secretary of the board.

Ms. Neuburg is a licensed real estate broker in both Oregon and Washington.

Marty Leith - Executive Managing Director

Seattle, WA

Marty Leith joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2014 as a director responsible for operations in Washington with a primary focus on the Puget Sound markets of Seattle and Bellevue. He has over 14 years’ experience in multifamily sales and has sold over $750 million of assets in the Seattle MSA for a variety of clients, including institutional and private investors. Mr. Leith specializes in the sale of large institutional multifamily assets as well as land for development of new multifamily projects.

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Leith was an associate partner at Hendricks Berkadia in Seattle where he nurtured strong client relationships and built upon his knowledge of the multifamily investment market in Seattle. Before that, he served as first vice president for Kidder Mathews’ multifamily and investment sales division. Prior to his real estate career, Mr. Leith spent 10 years as a Class “A” PGA golf professional in the Puget Sound region with a short stint on mini tours in the Southwest and another teaching swing mechanics in Toyko.

Mr. Leith is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Washington State Commercial Association of Realtors, the Rental Housing Association of Puget Sound and is a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) candidate.

Mr. Leith is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Washington.

Jerry Sankey - Associate Director

Seattle, WA

Jerry Sankey joined Newmark Knight Frank as an associate director in July of 2014.  Mr. Sankey is responsible for brokerage and business development in the Puget Sound region with a focus on the sale and underwriting of developable land and Class B and C multifamily properties.  

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Sankey was an accomplished residential real estate agent in the greater Seattle area for 13 years. One of his career accomplishments included assembling the land for the developer of 63 high-end condominiums in the U-District in Seattle and the subsequent sale.

Prior to Mr. Sankey’s career in real estate, he developed his family's glass business which he eventually sold to a national chain. After the sale he was retained as sales manager. Mr. Sankey also spent 10 years in the Gulf of Alaska as a longline halibut fisherman. He is a native of Seattle and grew up in the Scandinavian neighborhood of Ballard.

Mr. Sankey is a licensed broker in Washington. 

Dylan Roeter - Associate

Seattle, WA

Dylan Roeter joined Newmark Knight Frank as an associate in 2016 where he will focus on market research and multifamily brokerage.

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Roeter worked for Alliance Management, a company owning and operating more than 15 properties in the greater Seattle area, as an on-site assistant manager during major renovations. Before that, Mr. Roeter also worked for Development Services, a regional general contractor, during the redevelopment of multiple apartment buildings.

Mr. Roeter was born and raised in the Seattle area and is currently in pursuit of becoming a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) candidate. He has a passion for real estate and the future development of Seattle. Mr. Roeter graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance.

Mr. Roeter is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Washington.

Tri Tran - Transaction Manager

Portland, OR

Tri Tran joined Newmark Knight Frank 2014 as a transaction manager and lead analyst for the Pacific Northwest team where he oversees all aspects of the transaction process including valuation, pricing strategy, marketing, due diligence, negotiating purchase and sale agreements and business development. Tri has valued over $10 billion worth of multifamily real estate and land and has been directly associated with over $1.5 billion in transactions and equity financing.

Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Tri was director of finance for an education management company building, starting and managing K-12 international boarding and day schools and the development of the first US university in Vietnam. Prior to that, he held positions at Intel and CBRE in financial and investment analysis roles. His past experience includes arranging, modeling and negotiating joint venture investments, term sheet structuring, project management, and valuations.

Tri received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington with a graduate certificate in real estate finance and a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA. He is an Urban Land Institute (ULI) Next Committee Member and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) candidate.

Tri is a licensed broker in Oregon and Washington.

Rob Hackleman - Investment Analyst

Seattle, WA

Rob Hackleman joined Newmark Knight Frank as an investment analyst in 2016 where he focuses on underwriting, preparation of offering memoranda and market analysis. He has seven years’ experience in the real estate industry.

Before joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Hackleman worked for Mack Urban, a premiere west coast multifamily development firm where he was responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of over 500 units, and oversaw the disposition of over $250 million in assets.

Mr. Hackleman earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington Foster School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from the University of Washington.

Mr. Hackleman is a licensed real estate broker in Oregon and Washington.

Jack Dowe - Research & Transaction Analyst

Seattle, WA

Jack Dowe joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2018 as a Research & Transaction Analyst for NGKF Multifamily Capital Markets. In this role, he provides transaction support and insightful market knowledge to the Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington offices. Additionally, he is the co-founder and managing partner at FlyReal, a drone marketing and consulting company that works with major commercial real estate firms nationwide.

Mr. Dowe joined Newmark Knight Frank from Buffalo, NY based M&T Realty Capital Corporation (M&TRCC), working out of their NYC Office, where he assisted with underwriting and closing more than $1.2 billion of multifamily real estate loans. Prior to M&TRCC, Jack worked as an analyst at Northside Development Company and NHR Group. After spending two years at the George Washington University, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Connecticut State University.

An avid squash player and snowboarder, Mr. Dowe enjoys his time as a Portland Timbers fan, and a volunteer for Lemonade Day, a nonprofit organization that mentors children in social entrepreneurship. He actively explores interests in entrepreneurship and community building, and devotes the majority of his free time to volunteer positions at nonprofit organizations focused on education reform and human rights.

Sarah Poole - Transaction and Due Diligence Specialist

Portland, OR

Sarah Poole joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2018 as Transaction and Due Diligence Specialist supporting both the Portland and Seattle area offices. She manages the process of all multifamily transactions including due diligence and escrow, assists in market research, marketing and communications, and acts as a liaison to corporate departments in regards to operational matters.

Ms. Poole attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas and College of Southern Nevada. She brings over 10 years of real estate and property management experience with a focus in marketing, operations, transaction management and accounting. Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Ms. Poole was the transaction and office manager for a boutique residential real estate brokerage in Portland, Oregon.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ms. Poole grew up in her family’s residential real estate and property management business paving the way for her career. An enthusiastic pinball fan, she helps organize a local pinball league encouraging women of all skill levels to compete in a friendly and supportive environment.
